Project Description

The Bonga Sports Initiative, a grassroots program spearheaded by Kalama Your-Friend CBO, aims to establish a comprehensive football academy to empower vulnerable boys and girls. This initiative seeks to nurture talented individuals and provide them with the necessary training, development opportunities, and holistic support to excel as healthy and responsible athletes.

Challenges:

1. Lack of Training Equipment and Resources: The program currently faces a shortage of essential training equipment and resources, which hinders its ability to provide a conducive environment for the participants to thrive and reach their full potential.
2. Compliance to FUFA regulations: The formal obliagtions means that we need to do higher investments and more activities than otherwise.

Solutions:

1. Acquisition of Training Equipment and Resources: To address the lack of training equipment and resources, the Bonga Sport Initiative requires financial support to procure the necessary gear, facilities, and infrastructure. This investment will enable the program to create a conducive environment for the participants to thrive and reach their full potential.
2. The program will implement a comprehensive approach, compliant to the FUFA regulations, to participant development, incorporating not only sports training but also mental health support, life skills workshops, and character-building activities. This holistic approach will empower the young beneficiaries to excel both on and off the playing field.
